Sidney's Ties was a commission given to me by Sidney Levy.  These were his personal ties that he used over a period of 40 years of his professional life.  The ties were woven together, then stitched, front and back.  This was the first project where I used photo transfers, a process I thoroughly enjoyed.

The piece took five months to make.  It was challenging to make it work, but all who have seen it have been duly impressed.  Beads, buttons and pearls add extra texture and glow in the light.  See my blog for the full story.
