| My textiles are those pieces that won't easily fit into a quilt category (top, batting, back). I tend to use a lot of handwork in my work, both in the quilts and in the textiles, but am moving more and more towards constructing pieces completely by hand. Sidney's Ties and Honey Island are both examples of intensive hand work that seek to explore texture and color. Both are wall pieces. |
