Indian
designs tend to build out from a central starting point, with the core of a
flower or with a line dividing an area (palm into three parts, etc.).
EXAMPLE:
Outline
your hand on a piece of paper.
Practice filling the space with designs using a fine tip marker.
Moroccan
designs, more geometric, use free-hand designs or stencils.
Make your own stencil:
Draw
your hand on wax paper.
Lay pieces of electrical tape over it, covering hand and fingers.
Punch out holes in patterns and use an exacto knife to cut out lines,
triangles and other shapes.
Peel off wax paper and transfer to hand.
Adhere well.
Apply henna paste over the whole thing and let it dry.
After two hours, scrape off the henna and peel the tape.
Do not wash
for 12 hours.
Follow same procedure as outlined in application section.
