I made this quilt for my friend, Diane Gerlach, of Kenosha, Wisconsin.  She picked the fabrics and molitas and I put it all together.  The piece looks more chaotic in photos than it does in real life.  There is more dimension to it than is apparent.  On either side, medium sized molas of parrots frame an inner jungle with smaller molitas and 3-d leaves.  Molas are appliquéd panels made by the Kuna Indians of the San Blas Islands.  The quilt was machine quilted by Pam Heavrin of Paducah, Kentucky.
