Advertise on TAFA!

Get seen by hundreds of creative,

savvy women from around the world!

TAFA is a membership organization of fiber artists and handmade textile businesses.  We have been growing quickly and need a new website where we can display our products and create community.  We intend to become THE hub for textiles and fiber art.

So, we are fundraising for it on IndieGoGo.

Our special campaign offer:

Get 18 months of advertising on TAFA for a $215 donation to the campaign.  That is less than $12 a month!

16 of these ads will buy us our new site.

Ads will transfer over to our new site.

Our url (www.tafalist.com) will revert to www.tafalist.blogspot.com when the new site launches and the blog will remain live in order to receive the links that connect to it and refer users to the new site.  Current ads will remain there forever, so this is a huge value.

What kinds of ads would do well on TAFA?

Anything handmade (clay, wood, glass, metal, and of course, fiber!), jewelry, yoga products, spirituality, travel, technical assistance (graphic design, web design, etc), art organizations, galleries, music, books, etc.

We are mostly women over 35: creative, smart, talented and interested in the world.

Current traffic is about 200 unique visits a day with over 2 minutes spent on the site.  We expect that to grow exponentially when the new site is launched.  Our audience will want to hang out on TAFA for hours!

Invest in us!

TAFA was launched in January of 2010 with the goal of  helping fiber artists and handmade textile businesses access larger audiences for their products.

Our mission:  Markets for Members.

TAFA Members are juried in.

They represent the best in the textile and fiber art community.

We have outgrown our platform on Blogger as we now have close to 300 members from 23 countries.  We intend to grow our membership into the thousands and have contracted with a web design team who is building a new site with all of the bells and whistles that we need to fulfill our mission.  We also have educational goals, where we help our members access the technical knowledge and assistance they need to use social media and other tools to promote themselves.  The new site will become a major hub for the textile/fiber art community.

Building such a site costs money.  We are raising it through a campaign on IndieGoGo.  Click here to visit the campaign.

Our design team has quoted a price of $5,000 to build the site.

Features:

  • Search products by technique, key words, location, function and color.

  • Powerful search engine.

  • Image-based results.  (Almost as big as craftgawker's)

  • Members will have independent landing pages.

  • Users will be able to save products they like.

  • Social media compatible (sign in with facebook, like buttons, etc.)

  • Calendar of member events.

  • Page of member blogs.

  • Resource page (listings of peer organizations, technical assistance providers, etc.)

Of course, ALL donations are welcome!

All donors are thanked on facebook, our IndieGoGo page, and on our site.  There will be a permanent thank you page on both the blog and on the new site.  Those who donate $20 and over have a link to the site of their choice.

Our members have offered up some nice incentives, too. Take a look at the the Campaign page. Every bit counts towards reaching our goal!
