Oshiwa Namibia Workshop

Rayela Art is now the US distributor for Oshiwa, a small carving group in Namibia, Africa, which specializes in producing hand carved stamps for printing on fabric or paper.  The stamps can also be used to imprint into clay.  Oshiwa also makes beautiful wooden frames and finished textiles, items which we may make available in the future.

The stamps are available as individual pieces or as sets.  They have been priced by the square inch at the lowest prices possible, with a 15% discount built into the sets.  Oshiwa is a fair trade organization which seeks to provide employment to its team of carvers.  The carvers enjoy making one of a kind designs and would prefer to design and sell the sets as part of their artistic vision, but we have broken up many sets in order to make prices more affordable and to give buyers more freedom in their choices.  At this time, we are not breaking up any more sets, nor can we take special requests for commissioned designs.  In time, this may be possible.  Read more about Oshiwa at their website:  www.oshiwa.com.

Send me a list (rayela@comcast.net) of the stamps you are interested in.  Use the numbers below the image to identify which set or stamp you are interested in buying.  I will send you your list back with availability and the total.  Once you have the prices and make your decision, I will give you the final discount and shipping price.  Once that is confirmed, you will send payment via Pay Pal to me.  Because of this back and forth process, there may be a waiting period if you order a stamp that someone else has also wanted.

Shipping is free on orders over $100 in the United States.  Orders over $100 to other countries will receive a $10 credit, refunded at the time of shipping through Pay Pal.  Both sets and single stamps are 10% off on this site.  I have quite a few more single stamps, but all the sets are listed here.  Once things quiet down here, whatever is left over will go on Etsy and I will get the next batch of singles ready for another showing here.  We are excited about working together and hope that you will be thrilled with these wonderful stamps!  Most of the stamps have been signed by the carver.

I clean out photos of the sold ones regularly, but have to wait a bit to make sure there are no returns.  You can return any stamp you are not happy with for a refund (you pay for return shipping).  Make sure you scroll all the way down to see all of the images.

All of the sets are $112.  They come in a cardboard box which slips into a flat rate envelope. 

Sets average 11" x 8", which is the size of the cardboard box.

It is too time consuming to enter all the measurements for the individual blocks here.  The 10% discount you get compensates for saving our time.  However, you can guess at the size by looking at the price.  The stamps are $1.25 per square inch.
